A representative of the Strategic Head of Service (Legal & Democratic Governance and Monitoring Officer) submitted an application received on behalf of Community Active Stockport CIC for a grant from the Ward Flexibility Budget towards the cost of establishing a “Virtual Village” in Marple to serve the older community residents, and especially those living alone and in sheltered accommodation such as Rectory Court and Queen's Court, in walking distance of the village centre.
RESOLVED - That approval be given to an application received from Community Active Stockport CIC for a grant of £600 (£300 from each ward allocation) towards the cost of establishing a “Virtual Village” in Marple to serve the older community residents, and especially those living alone and in sheltered accommodation such as Rectory Court and Queen's Court, in walking distance of the village centre.
