To consider a report of the Service Director (Communities).

 

The report details proposals for the use of commuted sums for play provision in the area represented by the Werneth Area Committee.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the allocation of commuted sums as follows:-

 

·         The use of £1003.36 accruing from development no.1020 for 100 Lower Bents Lane, Bredbury towards the trike track at Bredbury recreation ground.

·         The use of £501.96 accruing from development no.1023 for 26 Goyt Valley Road, Bredbury, towards the at Goyt Valley Road play area, to replace a vandalised spring item.

·         The use of £2007.07 accruing from development no.950 for The Sportsmans’ Rest, Higher Bents Lane, Bredbury, towards the provision of toddler equipment at Overdale recreation ground.

·         The use of the following four commuted sums towards the provision of a new junior multiunit at Romiley recreation ground: to add to existing allocated funding

·         £669.24 accruing from development no.1006 for 43a Compstall Road, Romiley

·         £334.62 accruing from development no.1018 for 66 Compstall Road Romiley

·         £167.31 accruing from development no 1021 for 1 Compstall Road, Romiley

·         £334.62 accruing from development no. 1022 for 60 Compstall Road Romiley

·         The use of £334.62 accruing from development no. 1019 for 160-162 Hyde Road Woodley for a new link pathway into the site at Smithy Green play area.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) of the Service Director (Communities) detailing proposals for the use of new commuted sums for play provision in the Werneth area and locations of the play areas where these sums are to be spent.

 

RESOLVED – That approval be given to the following allocations of commuted sums for the Werneth area:-

 

·         The use of £1003.36 accruing from development no.1020 for 100 Lower Bents Lane, Bredbury towards the trike track at Bredbury recreation ground.
