To consider a report of the Cabinet Member for Economy & Regeneration.

 

The purpose of the report is to ensure that the way in which the Council manages its structures aligns with Section C of Well-managed Highways Infrastructure: A Code of Practice (WMHI). The document provides guidance on the way in which highway structures are inspected, assessed and maintained and how the relevant data is stored and utilised.

 

If approved, this report will supplement several other previously adopted maintenance policies which were approved in 2018.

 

The Cabinet is recommended to give approval to the adoption of the Highway Structures Maintenance Policy Statement.

The Cabinet Member for Economy & Regeneration (Councillor David Meller) submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) that aimed to provide guidance on the way in which highway structures were inspected, assessed and maintained and how the relevant data was stored and utilised and to ensure that the way in which the Council managed its structures aligned with Section C of ‘Well-managed Highways Infrastructure: A Code of  Practice’.

 

RESOLVED – That approval be given to the adoption of the Highway Structures Maintenance Policy Statement.

The purpose of the report is to ensure that the way in which the Council manages its structures aligns with Section C of Well-managed Highways Infrastructure: A Code of Practice (WMHI). The document provides guidance on the way in which highway structures are inspected, assessed and maintained and how the relevant data is stored and utilised.
