To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

 

The report details proposals for amended Traffic Regulation Orders on Hempshaw Lane, Offerton as part of the Battersby Hat Works Development.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the following package of traffic regulations orders set out in the report which fall within the purview of this Area Committee and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the Orders.

A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) detailing proposals for amended Traffic Regulation Orders on Hempshaw Lane, Offerton to be implemented following completion of the Battersby Hat Works Development.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That it be noted that the Stepping Hill Area Committee at its meeting held on 10 March 2020  was minded to approve the following Traffic Regulation Order:-

 

Revoke No Waiting at Any Time:

 

Hempshaw Lane

 

South westerly side from a point 7 metres north west of the south westerly kerb line of Garth Road for a distance of 12 metres in a north westerly direction.

 

Southerly side from a point 7 metres east of the north easterly kerb line of Garth Road for a distance of 24 metres in an easterly direction.

 

(2) That the Area Committee be minded to approve the following part of the amended Traffic Regulation Order on Hempshaw Lane, Offerton, to be funded by the developer:-

 

No Waiting at Any Time:

 

Hattersby Lane

 

Both sides from the northerly kerb line of Hempshaw Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction (to tie in with existing restrictions).

 

Sydney Street

 

Both sides from the northerly kerb line of Hempshaw Lane for a distance of 5 metres  in a North Easterly direction.

 

Hempshaw Lane

 

North side from a point 1.5 metres west of the north westerly kerb line of Sydney Street in an easterly direction to a point 5 metres east of the south easterly kerb line of Sydney Street.

 

(3) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.

North side from a point 1.5 metres West of the North Westerly kerb line of Sydney Street in an Easterly direction to a point 5 metres East of the South Easterly kerb line of Sydney Street.

North side from a point 1.5 metres West of the North Westerly kerb line of Sydney Street in an Easterly direction to a point 5 metres East of the South Easterly kerb line of Sydney Street. 

 

(3) That it be noted that the scheme would be implemented upon the completion of the redevelopment of Battersby Mill.
