To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

The report details a proposal to revoke and then introduce new ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Orders on Bridge Lane and Hillcrest Road, Bramhall following reports that vehicles are regularly parking on both sides of road on Hillcrest Road close to its junction with Bridge Lane causing an obstruction together with visibility issues for drivers negotiating the junction safely.

The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the proposals contained in the report, and subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £965 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bramhall North ward allocation).

RESOLVED – That consideration of this item be deferred to a future meeting of the Area Committee pending the undertaking of a site visit between ward councillors and Traffic Services officers to determine whether the extent of the proposed Traffic Regulation Orders was appropriate in the light of concerns raised by local residents.
