To consider a report of the Democratic Services Manager.

The report provides an update on progress since the last meeting on decisions taken by the Area Committee and details the current position on area flexibility funding. The report also includes the current position on the highway and traffic management delegated budget.

The Area Committee is recommended to note the report.

A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) updating the Area Committee in progress with the decisions taken at previous meetings and the current position on the Area Committee’s delegated budgets.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager referred to the decision taken at the last Area Committee in relation to a hand rail near Mirrlees Fields (Minute 9 of 11 December 2018 refers) and reported that a further request for funding to install benches along the path through the fields had been received from Public Rights of Way Officers. The Area Committee was asked to consider committing £2149.36 to cover the cost of concrete bases and installation of four benches that were being supplied by the Friends of Mirrlees Fields.

RESOLVED – (1) That the report be noted.

(2) That approval be given to the installation of four benches (to be supplied by the Friends of Mirrlees Fields) on Mirrlees Fields at a cost of £2149.36 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Stepping Hill Ward allocation).
