a member of the public spoke against the application.

 

It was then

 

RESOVLED – That planning permission be refused on the grounds that the proposed development did not maintain satisfactory levels of privacy and amenity for existing residents by virtue of:-

 

(i)        a failure to meet privacy distances in respect of the distance of the double doors to the kitchen at ground floor level and the window to an ensuite shower room at first floor level on the side elevation of the proposed dwelling facing Highfield Road to the side boundary with houses on Highfield Road; and

(ii)        its scale and massing such that it would constitute an overdevelopment of the site.
