To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report seeks approval to implement a Traffic Regulation Order to revoke the existing Disabled Persons Parking Bay adjacent to St Thomas Recreation Ground as residents are finding it increasingly difficult to park their vehicles adjacent to their properties.

 

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order for the revocation of the Traffic Regulation Order for a Disabled Persons’ Parking bay on Hempshaw Lane, Stockport and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) seeking approval to implement a Traffic Regulation Order to revoke the existing Disabled Persons Parking Bay adjacent to St. Thomas Recreation Ground as residents were finding it increasingly difficult to park their vehicles adjacent to their properties.

 

RESOLVED – (1) The Area Committee was minded to approve the following Traffic Regulation Order on Hempshaw Lane, Stockport, at an approximate cost of £760 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Manor Ward allocation):-

 

Revocation of the Traffic Regulation Order for a Disabled Persons Parking Bay

 

Hempshaw Lane - North Eastern side - from a point approximately 5 metres North West of the Westerly kerbline of Webb Lane (part), adjacent to St Thomas recreation ground, and opposite to property numbers 148-150 Hempshaw Lane, for a distance of approximately 7 metres in a North Westerly direction.

 

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
