Retention of 3 no shipping containers for the secure storage of goods and 1 container for incoming goods.

The Committee is recommended to grant planning permission subject to conditions restricting the retention of the containers to a 3 year period and requiring the containers to be painted green and screened or landscaped.

In respect of plan no. DC070088 for the retention of three shipping containers for the secure storage of goods and one container for incoming goods at 21 Church Road, Cheadle Hulme, it was

RESOLVED – (1) That planning permission be granted subject to conditions restricting the retention of the containers to an 18 month period; requiring the containers to be painted green within one month of the granting of permission; and the submission of a noise mitigation scheme within one month of the granting of permission.

(2) That the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration be recommended to assess the general condition of the site and determine whether any enforcement action is necessary from a planning or environmental health perspective.

RESOLVED – (1) That the Planning & Highways Regulation Committee be recommended to undertake a site visit to assess the visual and acoustic impact of the development of the residential amenity of adjoining properties.

(2) That the Planning & Highways Regulation Committee be recommended to grant planning permission subject to a condition restricting the retention of the containers to a one year period and requiring the containers to be painted green and screened or otherwise landscaped.
