To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

 

The report sets out the findings of a consultation exercise and seek approval for the implementation of a traffic calming scheme on Woodsmoor Lane/Moorland Road, Woodsmoor.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the measures contained within the report and the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Orders and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date the orders can be made.

 

Proposed 75mm high, 2.550 metre long by 1.9 meter wide sets of speed cushions, see drawing 5097_SK01 Rev B:

 

·         Woodsmoor Lane, from a point 115m south west of the westerly kerb line of Egerton Road.

·         Woodsmoor Lane, from a point 50m south west of the westerly kerb line of Egerton Road.

·         Woodsmoor Lane, from a point 10m north east of the easterly kerb line of Egerton Road.

·         Woodsmoor Lane, from a point 105m north east of the easterly of Egerton Road.

·         Woodsmoor Lane, from a point 160m north east of the easterly of Egerton Road.

·         Moorland Road, from a point 80m north east from the projected easterly kerb line of Woodsmoor Lane.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) inviting the Area Committee to consider a proposal to introduce speed cushions on Woodsmoor Lane/ Moorland Road, Woodsmoor to reinforce the existing 20mph speed limit.

 

The £24,051.70 projected cost of the scheme was to be met from the Highway Capital Programme.

 

A number of local residents attended the meeting in support of the proposals.

 

RESOLVED – (1 against) That the following Traffic Regulation Orders be approved for legal advertising the and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date the Order being made:-
