To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out a proposal to introduce parking restrictions as part of the redevelopment of the St Thomas Hospital site into residential properties.

 

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out a proposal to introduce parking restrictions as part of the redevelopment of the St. Thomas Hospital site into residential properties.

 

RESOLVED – (1) The Area Committee was minded to approve the following Traffic Regulation Order in the vicinity of St. Thomas Hospital which will be funded by the developer as part of the planning conditions:-

 

Revoke Pay & Display (Maximum Stay 3 Hours) Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm:

 

Royal George Street

 

South West side - from a point 20 metres south east of the south easterly kerb line of the access road to Stockport College in a south easterly direction for a distance of 58 metres.

           

Revoke No Waiting at Any Time:

 

Historical Access Road to St Thomas Hospital off Royal George Street

 

Both sides - from the junction with Royal George Street in a south westerly direction to its Southerly limit (a distance of approximately 11 metres).

           

No Waiting at Any Time:

 

St Thomas Development - Southerly Access Road

 

South Eastside - from the southerly boundary of the development at Flint Street in a north easterly direction for a distance of 7 metres.

 

North West side - from a point 7 metres south west of the south easterly kerb line of that part leading up to the road closure in a north easterly direction to its cul-de-sac end (a distance of 21 metres).

 

South Westside of that part leading up to the road closure from the north westerly kerb line of the southerly access road in a north westerly direction up to the road closure (a distance of 17 metres).

 

North East side of that part leading up to the road closure from the north westerly kerb line of the southerly access road in a north westerly direction for a distance of 8 metres.

 

Royal George Street

 

South westerly side - from a point 10 metres north west of the north westerly kerb line of the northerly access road (St Thomas development) in a south easterly direction for a distance of 26 metres            

           

St Thomas Development – Northerly Access Road

 

North westerly side - from the south westerly kerb line of Royal George Street in a south westerly direction for a distance of 10.5 metres.

 

South easterly side  - from the south westerly kerb line of Royal George Street in a south Westerly direction for a distance of 8.5 metres. 

 

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
