To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration
The report sets out the results of an investigation into traffic issues in the vicinity of the Broadway/Cherington Crescent junction as it has been reported that on occasions parked vehicles said to be causing an obstruction, together with reduced highway visibility, creating a hazard.
The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the results of an investigation into traffic issues in the vicinity of the Broadway/Cherington Crecent junction in Cheadle as it had been reported that on occasions parked vehicles were said to be causing an obstruction, together with reduced highway visibility, creating a hazard.
RESOLVED – (1) That the Area Committee be minded to approve the following No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order on Cherington Road and Broadway, Cheadle, at an approximate cost of £810 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation):-
No Waiting at Any Time
Broadway (South Side)
From a point 10 metres south west of the intersection of the western kerbline of Cherington Road, to a point 10 metres north east of the intersection of the eastern kerbline of Cherington Road.
Cherington Road (Both Sides)
From the intersection of the southern kerbline of Broadway for a distance of
10 metres in a south easterly direction.
(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
