To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

The report sets out the results of an investigation into parking issues on Neal Avenue/Eastleigh Road, Heald Green as residents have complained that drivers of vehicles are leaving their vehicles parked up for the day whilst they use the nearby Heald Green Railway Station or for long periods of time whilst they go on business trips/holiday from the airport.

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order set out in Appendices A and B of the report, shown on Drawing Nos. NM8-5021-02 and NM8-5021-03, and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order can be made.

RESOLVED – (1) That the Area Committee be minded to approve the following Traffic Regulation Order on Neal Avenue/Eastleigh Road, Heald Green as shown on Drawing Nos. NM8-5021-02 and NM8-5021-03 attached to the report, at an approximate cost of £1,600 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Heald Green Ward allocation):-

From a point 16.5 metres north of the intersection of the northern kerbline of Finney Lane for a distance of 89 metres in a northerly direction.

Neal Avenue (East Side)

From a point 16.5 metres north of the intersection of the northern kerbline of Finney Lane for a distance of 88 metres in a northerly direction.

Eastleigh Road (North Side)

From the intersection of the Eastern kerbline of Neal Avenue for a distance of 17.5 metres in an easterly direction.

Eastleigh Road (South Side)

From the intersection of the Eastern kerbline of Neal Avenue for a distance of 18 metres in an easterly direction.

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
