To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration
The report sets out the results of an investigation regarding parking at the junction of Manchester Road and Whirley Close in Heaton Chapel. It had been reported that parked vehicles were hampering visibility of on-coming traffic on Manchester Road and safe turning manoeuvres at the junction.
The Area Committee is requested to recommend the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing to approve the statutory legal advertising of the No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation order on Manchester Road and Whirley Close, Heaton Chapel and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) requesting the Area Committee to consider the results of an investigation concerning parking at the junction of Manchester Road and Whirley Close, Heaton Chapel.
RESOLVED – That the Cabinet Member (Communities & Housing) be recommended to approve the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date the following order can be made:

Manchester Road
From a point 12 metres North West of the North Westerly kerb line of Whirley Closein a South Easterly direction to a point 13 metres South East of the South Easterly kerb line of Whirley Close.
Whirley Close
Both sides from the North Easterly kerb line of Manchester Road in a North Easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
