To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.
The report details a proposal for the introduction of a ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Order on The Ridgway, Chester Walks and Lancaster Close, Romiley following concerns from residents regarding vehicles parked on this section of the road, which resulted in obstructions that delayed bus services and caused issues for passing vehicles.
The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the package of ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Orders as detailed in the report and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £750 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bredbury Green & Romiley ward allocation).

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) detailing a proposal for the introduction of a ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Order on The Ridgway, Chester Walks and Lancaster Close, Romiley following concerns from residents regarding vehicles parked on this section of the road, which resulted in obstructions that delayed bus services and caused issues for passing vehicles
RESOLVED - That approval be given to the legal advertising of the following traffic regulation orders and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £750 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bredbury Green & Romiley ward allocation):-

From a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of Chester Walks in a northerly then westerly direction to a point 96 metres south of the southerly kerbline of Chester Walks.

From the intersection of the western kerbline of The Ridgway for a distance of 10 metres in an Westerly direction The Ridgway (south side).
The Ridgway (south side)
From a point 29 metres south west of the southern kerline of Lancaster Close to a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of Lancaster Close.
Lancaster Close (both sides)
From the intersection of the eastern kerbline of The Ridgeway for a distance of 10 metres in a easterly direction.
The Ridgway (East Side)
From a point 42 metres north of the northern kerbline of Lancaster Close for a distance of 12 metres north.
