The Area Committee is invited to consider the contents of the report, noting the results of the recent consultation exercise carried out within Hazel Grove and Stepping Hill and approve the proposed measures and associated traffic regulation orders.
The Area Committee is asked to comment on this report and recommend that the Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing approves the proposals within this report and the legal advertising of the traffic regulation orders contained in Appendix C and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date the order can be made.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) inviting the Area Committee to consider proposals for a range of complementary measures associated with the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road Scheme. The proposals related specifically to the Stepping Hill Area Committee area, and had been subject to consultation with the public, the detail of which was set out in the report.
RESOLVED –That the Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing be recommended to approve the A6MARR complementary measures for Hazel Grove set out in the report and be authorised to approve those measures that fell entirely or in part within the Area Committee’s delegated powers in order to allow for the prompt processing and implementation of the proposals.
