11 Road Safety around Schools - Larkhill Primary School PDF 91 KB
To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration.
The issue of congestion around school gates causes problems such as inappropriate and illegal parking and difficulties in crossing the road safely.
To try and address these problems the Council is promoting an initiative “Road Safety around Schools”. It comprises the “Eagle Eye” road safety education and training workshops together with extra parking enforcement and engineering improvements. Larkhill Primary School is one of the schools identified for road safety measures.
The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.
