To consider a report of the Deputy Chief Executive.

 

The report summarises recent appeal decisions; lists current planning appeals and dates for local enquiries; informal hearings for planning appeals, and enforcement action within the Central Stockport area.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to note the report.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration submitted a report of the Deputy Chief Executive (copies of which had been circulated) listing any outstanding or recently determined planning appeals and enforcement activity within the area represented by the Central Stockport Area Committee. In addition, he reported that:-

 

·         the enforcement appeal against a tree replant notice served due to the felling of a copper beech tree situated in the Cale Green Conservation Area at 33 Heath Road, Davenport had been dismissed, with a requirement to carry out a re-plant within the next planting season. Members asked for information as to when the enforcement appeal had been submitted to the Planning Inspectorate.

·         the enforcement notice served for untidy land at 287 Wellington Road South, Heaviley was progressing. Members asked for details of the timescales setting out the progress of the enforcement notice.

·         the breach of condition notice served for a failure to comply with a condition of the planning permission by not completing the rebuilding of of the gable wall on land at Mac Court, St Thomas Place was now subject to an appeal. Confirmation was awaited from the Planning Inspectorate as to whether the appeal submitted was valid and the formal start date of the appeal.
