To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out an objection received to the proposed prohibition of Waiting Traffic Regulation Order on Lowndes Lane and Bampton Close, Offerton.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the plan attached to the report, drawing number NM8/4984/02 Rev A, and as detailed in paragraph 4.1 of the report.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out an objection received to the proposed Prohibition of Waiting Traffic Regulation Order on Lowndes Lane and Bampton Close, Offerton.

 

Following the objection received with regard to the proposal, Traffic Services had discussed a way forward with the Ward Spokespersons who had requested an amendment to the proposal to accommodate the needs of residents with regard to on street parking whilst maintaining a degree of visibility for motorists at the cul de sac junction.

 

RESOLVED – That the proposed Traffic Regulation Order at Lowndes Lane and Bampton Close, Offerton be implemented as out below and in accordance with the plan attached to the report, drawing number NM8/4984/02 Rev A:-

 

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order No Waiting at Any Time

 

Lowndes Lane - west side from a point 5 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Bampton Close to a point 10 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Bampton Close.
