To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

Members are requested to consider the contents of the report, noting the results of the recent consultation exercise carried out with key stakeholders within Heald Green District Centre and approve the proposed measures and associated traffic regulation orders.

The Area Committee is requested to recommend the Cabinet Member for Communities and housing to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Orders detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the results of the recent consultation exercise carried out with key stakeholders within Heald Green District Centre on complementary measures and mitigation measures from the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road. The report sought the Area Committee’s approval to the proposed measures and associated Traffic Regulation Orders.

RESOLVED – (1) That authority to agree the final detail of the proposed measures be delegated to the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration, in consultation with the councillors for the Heald Green Ward.

(2) That the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing be recommended to approve the statutory legal advertising of the measures agreed in (1) above and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
