The Area Committee is requested to appoint a councillor to lay a wreath on behalf of the Council at the Remembrance Day Services at Cheadle, Gatley and Heald Green War Memorials on Sunday, 12 November 2017.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) requesting the Area Committee to appoint Councillors to lay wreaths at Remembrance Day Services at Cheadle, Gatley and Heald Green War Memorials on Sunday, 12 November 2017.

RESOLVED – (1) That approval be given to the appointment of the following Councillors to lay wreaths on Sunday, 12 November 2017:-

Cheadle War Memorial – Councillor June Somekh

Gatley War Memorial – Councillor Iain Roberts

Heald Green War Memorial – Councillor Adrian Nottingham

(2) That the Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme South Area Committee be requested to agree to a Councillor from the Cheadle Hulme North Ward laying a wreath at the Cheadle Hulme War Memorial this year.
