To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

The report sets out the result of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles at the junction of Siddington Avenue and Adswood Road, and the parking of vehicles in the layby on Adswood Road adjacent to Siddington Avenue for days and/or weeks at a time.

The Area Committee is requested to recommend the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Orders detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Orders can be made.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the results of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles at the junction of Siddington Avenue and Adswood Road, Stockport, and the parking of vehicles in the layby on Adswood Road adjacent to Siddington Avenue for days and/or weeks at a time.

RESOLVED – That the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing be recommended to approve the statutory legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order, as shown on plan no. NM8/4330/02 attached to the report, at an approximate cost of £1,050 to be funded equally from the Cabinet Member’s Strategic Highways Budget and the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Davenport and Cale Green Ward allocation) and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made:-

North East side - from a point 15 metres North West of the Northerly kerbline of Adswood Road for a distance of 11 metres in a North Westerly direction.

South West side- from a point 15 metres North West of the Northerly kerbline of Adswood Road for a distance of 8 metres in a North Westerly direction.

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order – No Waiting At Any Time

Siddington Avenue

North East side - from the northerly kerbline of Adswood Road for a distance of 15 metres in a north westerly direction.

South West side - From the northerly kerbline of Adswood Road for a distance of 15 metres in a north westerly direction.

Adswood Road

North side - from a point 5 metres east of the easterly kerbline of Siddington Avenue to a point 10 metres west of the westerly kerbline of Siddington Avenue.

Adswood Road

North West side  - from a point 10 metres west of the westerly kerbline of Siddington Avenue for a distance of 75.5 metres in a south westerly direction.
