To report the findings of a consultation exercise with local residents and seek approval for the introduction of a 'No Stopping Except for Buses' Clearway Order on an existing bus stop situated on Wilmslow Road, Cheadle.

The Area Committee is requested to recommend the Executive Councillor (Communities and Housing) approves the proposals to introduce a ‘No Stopping Except for Buses’ Clearway Order on Wilmslow Road, Cheadle.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the findings of a consultation exercise with local residents on the proposed introduction of a 'No Stopping Except for Buses' Clearway Order on an existing bus stop situated on Wilmslow Road, Cheadle.

RESOLVED – That the Executive Councillor (Communities and Housing) be recommended to approve the proposals to introduce a ‘No Stopping Except for Buses’ Clearway as set out in the schedule below under Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 (Non Traffic Regulation Order Based) at an approximate cost of £300 to be funded from the Strategic Delegated Budget:-

Wilmslow Road, Cheadle

West Side – From a point, 23 metres south of the intersection of the southern kerb line of Waldon Avenue, for a distance of 23 metres in a southerly direction.
