To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

The report advises the Area Committee of the Council’s general process for dealing with road collapses; and the timescales and details of the recent cases in the Edgeley and Heath Ward on Reservoir Road, Carlile Street, Grenville Street and Greek Street.

A representative of United Utilities will also attend the meeting.

The Area Committee is recommended to note the report.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) advising the Area Committee of the Council’s general process for dealing with road collapses, and the timescales and details of the recent cases in the Edgeley and Cheadle Heath Ward on Reservoir Road, Carlile Street, Grenville Street and Greek Street.

RESOLVED – That the item be deferred and the appropriate department of United Utilities be invited to the next meeting of the Area Committee to discuss in particular the recent case on Reservoir Road, Edgeley.
