A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) detailing a consultation by BT in relation to the removal of 35 public payphones throughout the Borough, including four within the area represented by the Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme South Area Committee.
RESOLVED – (1) That the report be noted.
(2) That the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration be recommended to object to the proposed removal of the public payphone located at the junction of Woodford Road and Jenny Lane, Woodford by virtue of it being isolated from other public services where a fixed line telephone reasonably could be accessed.
