To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

The Area Committee is requested to recommend the Executive Councillor (Communities and Housing) to approve the statutory legal advertising of the proposed revocation of the Traffic Regulation Order – Resident Permit Holders only Monday-Saturday 8.00am-10.00pn on Range Road, Shaw Heath and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the results of consultation with local residents with regard to a move to a chargeable Permit Parking scheme on Range Road, Shaw Heath. This had been triggered due to planned highway maintenance on a road where there was currently a free residents parking scheme.

RESOLVED – That the Executive Councillor (Communities and Housing) be recommended to approve the revocation of the Traffic Regulation Order – Residents Permit Holders Only Monday – Saturday 8.00am – 10.00pm on Range Road, Shaw Heath, at an approximate cost of £950 to be funded from the Council’s Highways Improvement Programme, and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
