To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

The report details an event application from the Museums Service to hold an Artisan Christmas Market at Bramall Hall and Park on 27 October 2016.

The Area Committee is recommended to grant the application.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) detailing an event application from the Museums Service to hold an Artisan Christmas Market at Bramall Hall and Park on 27 October 2016.

The following comments were made/ issues raised:-

·         The parking plan for events previously held at Bramhall Park had included no waiting restrictions on Bramhall Park Road which had resulted in the displacement of parking onto adjoining side streets including Broomhill Drive and Warren Close.  It was commented that any no waiting restrictions put in place for events at the park should routinely include these additional streets.

·         Discussions should be held with the Brookdale Club with a view to using their car park as happens for other events held in the park.

·         Concerns were raised in relation to the use of the Archery Lawn for car parking and the consequent damage this was causing. 

RESOLVED - That approval be given to an application from the Museums Service to hold an Artisan Christmas Market at Bramall Hall and Park on 27 October 2016.
