To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

The report details the findings of a consultation exercise and to seek approval for the introduction of a Moving Traffic Regulation Order for a 20mph Zone in the Osborne Street area of Bredbury and the construction of an additional Speed Table on Osborne Street.

The Area Committee is requested to recommend that the Executive Councillor (Communities & Housing) gives approval the legal advertising of the Order and subject to no objections being received within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the Order.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) detailing the findings of a consultation exercise and outlining proposals for the introduction of a Moving Traffic Regulation Order for a 20mph Zone in the Osborne Street area of Bredbury and the construction of an additional Speed Table on Osborne Street.

RESOLVED – That the Executive Councillor (Communities & Housing) be recommended to give approval to the statutory legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order and subject to no objections being received within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the order:-

(1) Revocation of 20mph Speed Limit

Osborne Street, Bredbury, from a point 80 metres east of its junction with Davies Road to a point 10 metres north of its junction with Yew Tree Drive

(2) Moving Traffic Regulation Order “20mph zone”
