To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

The report sets out the results of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles on Churchley Road, Cheadle Heath, in the vicinity of the entrance to Cheadle Heath Primary School.

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order for No Stopping on School Entrance Markings and No Waiting on Churchley Road, Cheadle Heath, as set out in the report, and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the results of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles on Churchley Road, Cheadle Heath, in the vicinity of the entrance to Cheadle Primary School.

RESOLVED – (1) That the Area Committee be minded to approve the following Traffic Regulation Order on Churchley Road, Cheadle Heath at an approximate cost of £1,100 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated (Edgeley and Cheadle Heath Ward allocation):-

Proposed Revocation of Traffic Regulation Order No Waiting Monday-Friday 8.00am-6.00pm

Churchley Road - both sides for its full length

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order No Waiting Monday-Friday 8.00am-6.00pm

Churchley Road - south east side from the easterly kerbline of Heathside Road for a distance of approximately 28.5 metres in a north easterly direction.

Churchley Road - north west side from the easterly kerbline of Heathside Road for a distance of 24 metres in a north easterly direction.

Churchley Road - south west side from the north westerly kerbline of Churchley Road for a distance of 11 metres in a north westerly direction

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order No Stopping Monday – Friday 8.00am-6.00pm on School Entrance Markings

Churchley Road - from a point approximately 28.5 metres from the easterly kerbline of Heathside Road for a distance of 4.8 metres in a north easterly direction, then for a distance of approximately 10.5 metres in a northerly direction, then for a distance of approximately 13.5 metres in a north westerly direction.

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Orders and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Orders be made.
