To consider a report of the Chief Executive of Stockport Homes

The report provides an update on the progress of the delivery of Stockport Homes’ Neighbourhood Action Plans.

The Area Committee is recommended to comment on and note the report.

Representatives of the Chief Executive, Stockport Homes Ltd, submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update on progress in the delivery of the Neighbourhood Action Plan and seeking comments on progress to date and for any future actions in the 2016-2017 plan.

The following comments were made/issues raised:-

·         Brinnington and Central Ward Councillors requested an update on the proposed installation of CCTV in Hollywood Towers.

·         Whether there were any plans to repeat the clear up days in Mottram Street.

·         The role of Officers from Stockport Homes in reporting fly tipping.

·         Whether there were any plans to provide free skips in local areas as had occurred in the past.

·         Residents’ car parking problems at the blocks of flats on Lancashire Hill and whether barriers could be installed at the access to car parks for the flats.

·         The extent to which residents’ hoarding belongings was a problem and the involvement of the fire service if a danger to public safety was apparent.

RESOLVED – (1) That the report be noted.

(2) That the issues raised be investigated and the appropriate Councillors advised accordingly.

The report provides an update on progress in delivery of the Neighbourhood Action Plan and seeks comments on progress to date and any future actions for inclusion in the current 2016-2017 and future action plans.

The Area Committee are invited to consider and comment on the report.

A representative of the Chief Executive, Stockport Homes Ltd submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update on the progress in the delivery of the Stockport Homes Neighbourhood Action Plans.

Councillors and a member of the public thanked Stockport Homes officers for their excellent work.

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.

To consider a report of the West Area Housing Manager (Stockport Homes Limited)

The report sets out progress in delivery of Stockport Homes Limited (SHL) Neighbourhood Action Plans (NAPs) and seeks comments on progress to date and any future actions for inclusion in the current 2016 - 2017 and future action plans.

The Area Committee is invited to:-

·         Note and comment on achievements during 2015-16

·         Comment on the proposed Neighbourhood Action plans for 2016-17

Fay Whittaker, Area Housing Manager, Stockport Homes, attended the meeting to present an update on the delivery of the Stockport Homes Neighbourhood Action Plans for Offerton, Offerton North and Marple & Hazel Grove, and to seek comments on the plans for 2016/17.

The following comments were made/ issues raised:

·         Concerns had been raised by the Friends of Offerton Estate about rising levels of anti-social behaviour on the Estate.

·         Stockport Homes was working with Greater Manchester Police to tackle loan sharks that continued to operate in the Offerton area.

·         Councillors paid tribute to all those involved with the Neighbourhood Action Plan.

RESOLVED – That the report be noted and all those involved in Neighbourhood Action Plans be thanked for their hard work.
