The Area Committee is requested to recommend that the Planning & Highways Regulation Committee grants planning permission.

In respect of plan no. 58787 for the demolition of existing filling station and adjacent MOT garage, proposed construction of new filling station, forecourt, canopy, pump islands and 2 no. 70,000 litre tanks at Church Road Services, 17 Church Road, Cheadle Hulme,

a member of the public spoke against the application; and

the applicant spoke in support of the application.

RESOLVED - That consideration of this application be deferred to the next meeting of the Area Committee to allow the highways engineer to take further account of peak traffic flows and the concentration of schools within the locality of the proposed development and to allow the applicant the opportunity to demonstrate the that the employment use of the site was no longer viable.
