To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report outlines the results of an investigation into parking concerns in the vicinity of Carrs Road, Cheadle.

 

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of a No Waiting Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) outlining the results of an investigation into parking concerns in the vicinity of Carrs Road, Cheadle.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the Area Committee be minded to approve a Traffic Regulation Order on Carrs Road and St. Margaret’s Road, Cheadle, as set out below, at an approximate cost of £900 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Budget (Cheadle Hulme North Ward allocation):-

 

Proposed No Waiting Monday – Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm

 

Carrs Road, Cheadle Hulme - south side, from a point 10 metres east of the easterly kerb line of Bangor Road, to a point 10 west of the westerly kerb line of St David’s Road.

 

Carrs Road, Cheadle Hulme - north side from a point 64 metres east of the easterly kerb line of Carrs Avenue for a distance of 19 metres in an easterly direction then 6 metres in a southerly direction.

 

Proposed No Waiting at Any Time

 

Carrs Road, Cheadle Hulme - south side from the westerly kerb line of St David’s Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.

 

St David’s Road, Cheadle Hulme - both sides from the southerly kerb line of Carrs Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction

 

Carrs Road, Cheadle Hulme - south side from the easterly kerb line of St David’s Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

 

Carrs Road, Cheadle Hulme - south side, from the westerly kerb line of St Margaret’s Road for a distance of 17 metres in a westerly direction.

 

St Margaret’s Road, Cheadle Hulme - both sides, from the southerly kerb line of Carrs Road for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction. 

 

Carrs Road, Cheadle Hulme - south side, from the easterly kerb line of St Margaret’s Road for a distance of 23 metres in an easterly direction.

 

Carrs Road, Cheadle Hulme - north side, from the easterly kerb line of Carrs Avenue for a distance of 10 metres in a easterly direction

 

Carrs Avenue, Cheadle Hulme - both sides, from the northerly kerb line of Carrs Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.

 

Carrs Road, Cheadle Hulme - north side, from the westerly kerb line of Carrs Avenue for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction

 

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
