To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration.

The details a proposal to hold the Annual Review of Outcomes on 6 March 2015 (2014 tour).  

The Area Committee is recommended to submit their nomination for a completed development site within their area to be included on the list of sites to be inspected by the Tour delegates. In addition the Area Committee are asked to provide nominations for delegates to attend.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) detailing a proposal to hold the Annual Review of Outcomes Tour on 6 March 2015 and requesting the Area Committee to submit a recommendation for a completed development site within the Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme South area to be included on the list of sites to be inspected by the Tour delegates.  In addition the Area Committee was also asked to provide nominations for delegates to attend.

RESOLVED – (1) That the Annual Review of Outcomes Tour be requested to inspect the following developments:-

(i)         Infill dwelling Swann Lane, Cheadle Hulme - Contemporary dwelling in Conservation Area.

(ii)        Former Scout Hut on Turves Road, Cheadle Hulme – affordable housing.

(2) That Councillors Linda Holt, Alanna Vine and Suzanne Wyatt be nominated to attend the Tour.

RESOLVED – (1) That the Annual Review of Outcomes Tour be requested to inspect the development at the former Peaches night club, Clarkes Building and the Institute, Wellington Street/High Street/Fletcher Street – conservation led residential development.

(2) That the Area Committee be represented on the Review of Outcomes Tour by those Councillors who also serve on the Planning and Highways Regulation Committee.

The Committee is recommended to:-

(i) give approval to the proposed date of the Annual Review of Outcomes Tour on 23 January 2014.

(ii) request that a report be placed on the agenda for the next cycle of Area Committees to request the nomination of a completed development site to be included on the list of sites to be inspected on the Annual Review Tour and that each Area Committee nominates Members to attend the Tour.

RESOLVED – (1) That in addition to the sites suggested in the report, the Area Committee suggested that the recently completed housing development on Cross Lane, Marple be included on the list of potential sites to visit.

(2) That Councillors Geoff Abel and Kevin Dowling be nominated to participate on the tour.

(2) That Councillors Peter Burns, Pam King and June Somekh be nominated to attend the Tour.

The Area Committee is invited to:-

·                nominate a completed development site to be included on the list of sites to be inspected on the Annual Review Tour and

·                nominate Members to attend the Annual Review Tour on 6 March 2015.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) detailing a proposal to hold the Annual Review of Outcomes Tour on 6 March 2015 and requesting the Area Committee to submit a recommendation for a completed development site within the Stepping Hill Area Committee area to be included on the list of sites to be inspected by the Tour delegates.  In addition the Area Committee was also asked to provide nominations for delegates to attend.

RESOLVED – (1) That the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration be informed that this Area Committee strongly recommends that the Annual Review of Outcomes Tour 2014 visit both of the following sites:-

·         Aldi Supermarket, Lisburne Lane, Offerton.

·         New care home at the former Council Depot, Torkington Road, Hazel Grove.

(2) That Councillors Laura Booth, Wendy Meikle, Wendy Orrell and John Wright be nominated to attend the Tour.

(2) That Councillors Chris Gordon and Syd Lloyd be nominated to attend the Tour.

(2) That the Democratic Services Manager be requested to place an item on the agenda for the next cycle of Area Committees to request the nomination of a completed development site to be included on the list of sites to be inspected on the Annual Review Tour and that each Area Committee nominates Members to attend the Tour.
