The report details the findings of a consultation exercise and to seeks approval for the introduction of a ‘No Waiting At Any Time’, ‘No Stopping’ and ‘No Waiting’ Traffic Regulation Orders on Woods Lane, Thorn Grove and St Brannocks Road, Cheadle Hulme.
The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the following scheme at a cost of £1350 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Highway Maintenance and Traffic Management Delegated Budget (Cheadle Hulme South ward allocation):-

Woods Lane, Cheadle Hulme, east side, from the north easterly kerb line of St Brannocks Road for a distance of 20 metres in a northerly direction.
Woods Lane, Cheadle Hulme, west side, from the northerly kerb line of Thorn Grove for a distance of 5 metres in a northerly direction.
Thorn Grove, Cheadle Hulme, north side, from the westerly kerb line of Woods Lane for a distance of 5 metres in a westerly direction.
Thorn Grove, Cheadle Hulme, south side, from the south westerly kerb line of St Brannocks Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
St Brannocks Road, Cheadle Hulme, north side, from the easterly kerb line of Woods Lane for a distance of 37 metres in an easterly direction.
St Brannocks Road, Cheadle Hulme, south side, from the southerly kerb line of Thorn Grove for a distance of 43.5 metres in a south then easterly direction.
Proposed No Waiting Monday – Friday 2.45pm – 4.15pm

Proposed No Stopping Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm on School Entrance Markings
Woods Lane, Cheadle Hulme, east side, from a point 20 metres north of the north easterly kerb line of St Brannocks Road for a distance of 25.5 metres in a northerly direction.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) detailing the findings of a consultation exercise and seeking approval for the introduction of a ‘No Waiting At Any Time’, ‘No Stopping’ and ‘No Waiting’ Traffic Regulation Orders on Woods Lane, Thorn Grove and St Brannocks Road, Cheadle Hulme.
Members noted that an element of the proposals detailed within the report proposed the making of traffic regulation orders on that part of St Brannocks Road, Cheadle Hulme that had not been adopted by the Council, and accordingly ought not to be included as part of the wider scheme.
