To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report considers the findings of a consultation exercise and to seek approval for the introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order on Ashfield Crescent Road, Cheadle.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the Traffic Regulation Order as detailed in the recommendation to the report.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) following an investigation into an existing Traffic Regulation Order on Ashfield Crescent Road, Cheadle as it had been felt that the current restriction on parking during the afternoon had led to cars being parked in the vicinity of Cheadle Primary School, causing difficulties with traffic and pedestrian movements at school finishing time.

 

RESOLVED – That approval be given to the following Traffic Regulation Order at an approximate cost of £750 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Highway Management and Delegated Budget (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation):-

 

Revocation of No Waiting Monday – Friday 8.30am – 9am, 11.30am – 2pm & 3.15pm – 4.30pm

 

Ashfield Crescent, Cheadle - south side, from the westerly kerb line of Ashfield Road for a distance of 35 metres in a westerly direction.

 

Proposed No Waiting at Any Time

 

Ashfield Crescent, Cheadle - south side, from the westerly kerb line of Ashfield Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.

 

Proposed No Waiting Monday – Friday 8.30am – 9am, 11.30am – 2pm & 2.45pm – 4.30pm

 

Ashfield Crescent, Cheadle - south side, from a point 10 metres west of the westerly kerb line of Ashfield Road for a distance of 25 metres in a westerly direction.
