To consider a report of the Service Director (Place Management).

 

The report seeks approval to make an Experimental ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) on Range Drive, Woodley permanent following concerns that on street parking on Range Drive close to its junction with Pennine Road was causing a safety hazard by reducing highway widths, resulting in head on encounters.

 

The Area Committee is requested to recommend that the Executive Councillor (Economic Development & Regeneration) gives approval to the following:-

 

Proposed No Waiting at Any Time

 

Range Drive, Woodley, both sides from the easterly kerb line of Pennine Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

 

Pennine Road, Woodley, east side from a point 7 metres north of the northerly kerb line of Range Drive to a point 7 metres south of the southerly kerb line of Range Drive.

(NOTE:  The Chair was of the opinion that this item, although not included on the agenda, should be considered as a matter of urgency in accordance with Section 100 B(4)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972 to enable the Area Committee to give consideration to proposals to make an Experimental ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Order permanent prior to the expiration the current Experimental Order which would occur prior to the next meeting of the Area Committee).

 

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Service Director (Place Development) (copies of which had been circulated) seeking approval to make an Experimental ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) on Range Drive, Woodley permanent following concerns that on street parking on Range Drive close to its junction with Pennine Road was causing a safety hazard by reducing highway widths, resulting in head on encounters.

 

RESOLVED – That the Executive Councillor (Economic Development and Regeneration) be recommended to give approval to the following at a cost of £250 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Highway Maintenance and Traffic Management Delegated Budget:-
