To consider a report of the Service Director (Place Management)

This report considers an application from the Bridgway Church group to hold a ‘light in the night bonfire blast’ in Heaton Norris Park on 5 November 2012.

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the application.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Service Director (Place Management) (copies of which had been circulated) in connection with an application from the Bridgway Church group to hold a ‘light in the night bonfire blast’ in Heaton Norris Park on 5 November 2012.

RESOLVED – That approval be given to the application from the Bridgway Church group to hold a ‘light in the night bonfire blast’ on 5 November 2012, subject to clarification in the publicity for the event that this an event organised by a Christian group and will include a religious message, and motorists attending the event being encouraged to park on the Bridgefield Street car park helping to reduce inconvenience to residents who live in the vicinity of Heaton Norris Park.
