A representative of DOSportUK attended the meeting and submitted an application for a grant of £200 from the Ward Flexibility Funding budget (£100 from Bramhall North and £100 from Bramhall South & Woodfordward allocations)towards thecost ofStockport JetsBasketball sessions aimed at people with a learning disability and/or autism, but also open to all ages and abilities.

 

RESOLVED – That approval be given to an application from DOSportUK for a grant of £200 from the Ward Flexibility Funding budget (£100 from Bramhall North and £100 from Bramhall South & Woodfordward allocations)towards thecost ofStockport JetsBasketball sessions aimed at people with a learning disability and/or autism, but also open to all ages and abilities.

A representative of the Assistant Director for Legal and Democratic Governance submitted an application received on behalf of DOSportUK for a grant of £400 from the Ward Flexibility Budget (Heatons South ward allocation only) towards the cost of Stockport Jets Basketball sessions aimed at people with a learning disability and/or autism, but also open to all ages and abilities.

 

RESOLVED - That consideration of this item be deferred to a future meeting of the Area Committee to allow the applicant to attend.

RESOLVED - That the application from DOSportUK for Ward Flexibility Funding Budget on this occasion be declined on the basis that the Committee was not satisfied that the application identified how the funding would benefit the local residents of Marple.

To consider an application for Ward Flexibility Funding received from Hazel Grove – Royal British Legion for a grant of £983.72 towards the cost of purchasing two Feather Flags to display outside on the day of the Breakfast Club and other promotional events and purchase two Pull-up Banners to display inside the pub and any promotional events and to purchase a portable PA System to use at the Breakfast Club and other RBL events.
