Issue - meetings

To consider a report of the Assistant Director - Legal and Democratic Governance.

The report provides the Forward Plan of agenda items for future meetings of the Health & Wellbeing Board.

The Board is asked to consider the information in the report and put forward any agenda items for future meetings of the Health & Wellbeing Board.

A representative of the Assistant Director for Legal & Democratic Governance submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing the Forward Plan of agenda items for future meetings of the Health & Wellbeing Board.

The following comments were made/issues raised:-

·       The Board enquired about whether the Board should be looking at the importance of housing and the regulation of housing associations and their consumer standards, their tenants and the wider neighbourhoods and health of residents. In response, it was stated that there was an event on Monday afternoon called the “Housing First Roadmap” bringing together the GMCA housing providers and health partners to address those issues raised and a briefing paper could be brought back to the meeting to provide an update.

·       The Board was informed that the Council had recently issued the Stockport Local Plan which would go out to consultation in September 2024 seeking local residents views on the overall approach.

·       The Board enquired about a news article in the Manchester Evening News relating to housing repairs by Stockport Homes. In response, it was stated that there would be a review of Stockport Homes and that review could be reported back to the Board once it has been completed.

·       The Board enquired about when the ‘Dementia Strategy’ would be submitted to the Board.

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.
