Issue - meetings

To consider a report of the Deputy Chief Executive (Section 151 Officer).

The report provides an update on the financial standing of the Trust as at 31 December 2023.

The Area Committee is requested to:

a)    note the contents of the report;

b)   decide upon the amount of funding, if any, to be made available for distribution from the Trust during 2023/34; and

c)    advise as to any changes in the investment policies adopted that they wish to make. As a reminder, the investment policies are:

·         to maintain the value of the Trust in real terms before considering any distribution; and

·         to reinvest the dividends received in relation to the Investment Fund back into that Investment Fund.

A representative of the Assistant Director for Legal & Democratic Governance submitted a report of the Deputy Chief Executive (Section 151 Officer) (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update on the financial standing of the Trust as at 31 December 2023.

The following comments were made/ issues raised:

·         It was suggested that ways to promote the Trust be explored.

·         It was noted that a new meeting venue in Cheadle had been arranged for meetings of the Brookfield Park Shiers Family Trust Sub Committee.
