To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

The report provides details relating to the review of parking concerns on George Street, Compstall outside the local post office and to consider changing the usage of the current bays.

The Area Committee is asked to approve the legal advertising of the Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) set out in Appendix A at a cost of £2,000 to be funded by the Marple North Delegated Ward Budget as follows:-

North West Side

From a point 6 metres southwest of the northeast building line of 229 Market Place for a distance of 5.5 metres in a south westerly direction. 

George Street

Southwest Side (adjacent to Market Place)

From a point 4.5 metres from the northwest kerb line of George St for a distance of 6m (3no, 2-metre-wide perpendicular parking bays) Measurements from George St kerb line are taken from the east side of Market Place.

A representative of the Assistant Director for Legal and Democratic Governance submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing details relating to the review of parking concerns on George Street, Compstall outside the local post office and to consider changing the usage of the current bays.

RESOLVED – That approval be given to the legal advertising of the following Experimental Traffic Regulation Orders as shown in Appendix A of the report and, subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £2000 to be funded from the Delegated Ward Budget:-
