To consider a report of the Service Director (Place Management)

 

The report informs the Area Committee of the proposal to widen and re-mark the carriageway of Pepper Road to increase capacity and reduce congestion at the junction of the Pepper Road and Bramhall Moor Lane as shown in Appendix 2.

 

The Area Committee is asked to consider the Service Director’s report and recommend that the Executive Councillor (Economic Development and Regeneration) approves the widening and re-marking of the carriageway of Pepper Road.

Minutes:

A representative of the Service Director (Place Management) submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) detailing a proposal to widen and re-mark the carriageway of Pepper Road to increase capacity and reduce congestion at its junction with Bramhall Moor Lane with a view to increasing employment opportunities at the Bramhall Moor Technology Park.  The report also summarised the results of a consultation exercise with local residents and business.

 

RESOLVED – That the Executive Councillor (Economic Development & Regeneration) be recommended to approve the widening and re-marking of the carriageway at Pepper Road to facilitate increased employment opportunities at the Bramhall Moor Technology Park.

The report was also due to considered by the Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme South Area Committee on 29 August 2012.

 

RESOLVED – That the Executive Councillor (Economic Development & Regeneration) be recommended to approve the widening and re-marking of the carriageway at Pepper Road to facilitate increased employment opportunities at the Bramhall Moor Technology Park and that consideration be given to the inclusion of planting on the boundary with 162 Bramhall Moor Lane and the inclusion of the cost of any consequential traffic regulation orders within the overall scheme.
