Adder Park Traffic Calming

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

This report details the findings of a residents consultation on proposals to introduce traffic calming features on roads surrounding Adder Park, Stockport; namely Ashburton Road, Bexhill Road and Rostherne Road.

The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent maing of the orders at a cost of £18,000 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Deldgate dBUdget (Davenport & Cale Green ward allocation):-

Speed Cushions (2 metres long, 1.8 metres wide & 75 millimetres high)

Road	Extent

Ashburton Road	At a point approximately 31 metres northeast of the north-easterly kerbline of Ecclestone Road.

Bexhill Road	At a point approximately 31 metres southeast of the south-easterly kerbline of Ecclestone Road

Bexhill Road	At a point approximately 108 metres southeast of the south-easterly kerbline of Ecclestone Road.

Rostherne Road	At a point approximately 35 metres south of the southerly kerbline of Ashburton Road.

Rostherne Road	At a point approximately 41 metres northeast of the north-easterly kerbline of Bexhill Road.

A representative of the Director for Place Management submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) detailing the findings of a consultation on proposals to introduce traffic calming features on roads surrounding Adder Park, Stockport; namely Ashburton Road, Bexhill Road and Rostherne Road.

RESOLVED – That approval be given to the implementation of Speed Cushions (2 metres long, 1.8 metres wide & 75 millimetres high) on roads surrounding Adder Park, Stockport; namely Ashburton Road, Bexhill Road and Rostherne Road (to be funded from the Delegated Ward Budget (Davenport & Cale Green ward allocation)):

1. Ashburton Road at a point approximately 31 metres northeast of the north-easterly kerbline of Ecclestone Road.

2. Bexhill Road at a point approximately 31 metres southeast of the south-easterly kerbline of Ecclestone Road.

3. Bexhill Road at a point approximately 108 metres southeast of the south-easterly kerbline of Ecclestone Road.

4. Rostherne Road at a point approximately 35 metres south of the southerly kerbline of Ashburton Road.

5. Rostherne Road at a point approximately 41 metres northeast of the north-easterly kerbline of Bexhill Road, subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date.
