To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

 

The report details the findings of a consultation on proposals to introduce a residents permit parking scheme on David Street, Reddish; and to seek approval for the advertising/introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to that effect.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the following traffic regulation order and, subject to the receipt of no objections, the subsequent making of the orders:-

 

Proposed (TRO), Residents permit holders parking only at all times

 

David Street, Reddish 

South side - From its interception with the east kerb line of Bedford Street in an easterly direction to its cul-de-sac end at the emergency entrance to St. Joseph’s Primary School.

 

North side – From its interception with the east kerb line of the unadopted/private street in an easterly direction to its cul-de-sac end at the emergency entrance to St. Joseph’s Primary School.

A representative of the Director of Place Management submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) detailing the findings of a consultation on proposals to introduce a residents permit parking scheme on David Street, Reddish and seeking approval for the advertising/introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) to that effect.

 

The following comments were made/ issues raised:-

 

·         It was noted that the scheme had received a lot of support and residents had been in contact with Members to express this support.

·         It was queried, if there were no objections, what was the envisaged timescale for the residents permit parking scheme to be introduced.

·         In response it was confirmed three months.

 

RESOLVED – That approval be given to the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the order:-

David Street, Reddish
