Harrow Drive & Buckingham Road, Heaton Moor

To consider a report of the Director of Place Management.

The report details a proposal for the introduction of No Waiting at Any Time restrictions at the junction of Harrow Drive with Buckingham Road in Heaton Moor.

The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulations Orders and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £710 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Heatons North ward allocation):-

Harrow Drive

Both sides from the North Western kerb line of Buckingham Road for a distance of 10 metres in a North Westerly direction.

Buckingham Road

North West side from a point 10 metres South West of the South Western kerb line of Harrow Drive in a North Easterly direction to a point 9 metres North East of the North Eastern kerb line of Harrow Drive.

A representative of the Director of Place Management submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) detailing a proposal for the introduction of No Waiting at Any Time restrictions at the junction of Harrow Drive with Buckingham Road in Heaton Moor.

Members welcomed the report and enquired about the installation of double yellow lines on an unadopted road. In response, members were given the assurance that this could be done by virtue of the highway law despite it being unadopted.

RESOLVED - That approval be given for the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulations Orders and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £710 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Heatons North ward allocation):-
