The Executive Councillor (Economic Development & Regeneration) has approved the following proposals for additional measures to improve access and safety on Bramhall Moor Lane, Hazel Grove:-
Proposed No Waiting at Any Time
Bramhall Moor Lane, Hazel Grove
South side from a point 70m west of the westerly kerb line of Lostock Avenue for a distance of 53m in a westerly direction.
Proposed Implementation of Morpeth Bollards on the north and south sides of Bramhall Moor Lane as outlined on plan NM8/4525/2A attached to the report
The total scheme cost of £2250 is be funded from the Highway Maintenance and Traffic Management delegated budgets of the Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme Area Committee (£1530 from the Bramhall North Ward allocation) and the Stepping Hill Area Committee (£1020 from the Stepping Hill Ward allocation). Both Area Committees supported the proposals.
The Executive Councillor has also agreed that the Morpeth type bollards would be erected in the footway in the first instance before further investigations are made into erecting timber posts in the grass verges. If timber posts are erected, further funding will be required from the relevant delegated budget to cover the increase in maintenance costs of the grass verge due to posts being erected on it and further report would be submitted to the Area Committee.

At the Stepping Hill Area Committee on 17 July 2012, Councillor Ben Alexander declared a personal interest as a member of Stockport Sports Trust as the proposals were in the vicinity of a Sports Trust facility.
