Decision details

The Chief Executive and the Director of Education, Work and Skills have noted that the Trustees of the Emmaus Trust had initially stated that they believed St Mary's RC Primary School l to be unviable and initially declined to convert the school into its trust.

It was further noted that the Trust had now reconsidered their position in light of consultation responses and the report of the Joint Executive Board which indicated sustained improvement had been made at the school and further that the Trustees had determined that they would now convert the school into its trust.

The Chief Executive and the Director of Education, Work and Skills have therefore given approval to the cessation of any further consideration or consultation into the discontinuance of St Mary’s RC Primary School.

Publish a statutory proposal and continue with the discontinuance process.
