The Cabinet Member for Highways, Parks and Leisure Services has given approval to:-

 

(1) The legal advertising of the following Moving Traffic Regulation Order (MTRO) to implement a 20mph Zone in Reddish District Centre, and subject to the receipt of no objections, the subsequent making of the order to be funded from the Safer Street Save Lives budget-

From a point 14 metres north of the northern kerbline of Higginson Road, in a southerly direction, to its junction with Broadstone Road/Reddish Road.

 

Reddish Road, Reddish

From a point 92 metres south of the southern kerbline of Rupert Street, in a northerly direction, to its junction with Broadstone Road/Gorton Road.

Broadstone Road, Reddish

From the southern kerbline of Rupert Street, in a north-easterly direction, to its junction with Gorton Road/Reddish Road.

Rupert Street, Reddish

From its junction with Broadstone Road, in an easterly direction, to its junction with Reddish Road.

Stanhope Street, Reddish

For its entire length.

 

(2) Officers being requested to identify alternative forms for Traffic Calming to replace the temporary speed cushions subject to the cushions remaining in situ until alternative measures are agreed with the Area Committee.
