Purpose:

This report builds on previous updates to scrutiny and cabinet and presents the cabinet’s change proposals for final consideration ahead of Budget Council in February 2022. The report sits alongside a suite of budget papers presented elsewhere on this agenda.

Decision:

The Cabinet considered an update on its Medium Term Financial Strategy and a suite of proposals for 2022/23 and agreed to:-

 

(1) Note the approach undertaken and considerations of the implications of proposals, including: engagement feedback; environmental impact assessments; and, equality impact assessments.

 

(2) Give approval to the proposals outlined in the appendices for inclusion within the Cabinet Revenue Budget subject to the exclusion of the proposal relating to the ‘highways discretionary budget’.
