Purpose:
The Council tax discount scheme includes
provision for reductions in liability for properties which are
unoccupied. The discount awarded is a local decision , reducing the
level of discount would increase income.
Decision:
The Cabinet considered and noted the outcome of a review of the Council Tax Discounts Scheme and authorised the Borough Treasurer to undertake a public consultation exercise to include Options 1 to 3 as set out in the report.
